Working under LSW Architects, our team designed outdoor educational spaces for future students of the new Mountain View High School in Vancouver, WA. Our goal was to enhance cultural connection & identity, create opportunities for student growth & learning, and develop a site circulation plan. Our team provided direction on-site programing for outdoor learning areas, Pre-K play, SPED sensory elements, and flexible gathering areas. The biophilic design connects indoor spaces to the outdoor to promote learning in a natural environment.
The new school will be designed in accordance with Washington Sustainable Schools Protocol and Clark County Green Schools requirements.
